Privacy Policy

Cubegram (the “Game”) is a 3D puzzle game for Android and iOS provided by Gianmarco David (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Game.

At a glance

Your puzzle progress and settings are stored on your device. Cubegram has no accounts, and we do not run a server that receives or stores your game data.

Some features rely on services provided by Google and Apple, which process limited information as described below:

Information the Game handles

Game data on your device

The Game stores your progress (puzzles solved, best times, and stars), your settings, cached puzzle pictures, and whether you have bought the Full Game. This data stays in the Game’s private storage on your device, and we do not receive it.

The Game does not take part in Android’s automatic app backup. On iOS, the Game’s files may be included in your device’s iCloud Backup or computer backup, depending on your device settings. Apple stores those backups, and we do not receive a copy.

Cloud save and gaming accounts (optional)

You can sign in to Google Play Games Services on Android, or to Apple Game Center on iOS, to save your progress to that account and restore it on another device. When you sign in, the Game receives your player identifier and the profile information you have chosen to share with that service, such as your gamer name and avatar. Your saved progress is stored by Google or Apple (through iCloud for Game Center) under your account.

We do not receive or store a copy of your cloud save on our own servers. You can sign out in the Game or in the service’s own settings, and you can delete saved data through your Google Play Games or Apple account settings.

Unless you have bought the Full Game, the Game shows Google AdMob advertisements between puzzles, never during one. The Game may also offer rewarded ads, which play only when you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward. Players who have bought the Full Game are not shown ads between puzzles.

To provide, measure, limit, and (where you allow it) personalise ads, Google and its advertising partners may process:

We do not give Google your puzzle progress or cloud save data for ad targeting.

Consent: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other places where it is required, the Game uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent before ads are personalised or before identifiers are stored or read for advertising. Where US state privacy laws apply, it also lets you opt out of the use of your information for targeted advertising. If you decline, the Game shows non-personalised ads. You can review or change your choices at any time from the Game’s settings.

iOS tracking: on iOS, the Game asks for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before it accesses your device’s advertising identifier. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the identifier is not shared and ads are not personalised through cross-app tracking. You can change this later in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security › Tracking.

You can also reset your advertising identifier or limit ad personalisation in your Android, Google, or iOS settings.

Crash reporting

The Game uses Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to receive crash reports. A report contains the crash trace, device model, operating-system version, app version, orientation, available memory and storage, a timestamp, and a Crashlytics installation identifier. It helps us find and fix faults. Crash reports do not include your cloud save contents, gaming-account details, or advertising identifier.

Purchases

The Full Game is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play on Android and by the Apple App Store on iOS. We do not receive or store your payment-card details, name, or billing address. The Game asks the store which products the account on your device owns, so it can unlock the Full Game and restore your purchase on a new device. It keeps the unlock status on your device.

Permissions

The Game uses network access to load ads, check purchases, send crash reports, and sync cloud saves. It does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise location. Puzzles can be played offline.

How we use information

We use information only to provide the Game and keep it working. This includes saving your progress, syncing a cloud save if you choose to, showing ads and managing your consent, unlocking and restoring the Full Game, and diagnosing crashes.

If European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar data-protection law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

Where local law requires consent for diagnostics, advertising, or similar device access, we rely on consent instead of legitimate interests.

You are not required to provide personal data to play. Signing in to a gaming account is needed only for cloud save, and store-account information is needed only to buy or restore the Full Game. Declining personalised-advertising consent does not limit the Game, though you may see less relevant ads.

Sharing and disclosures

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as follows:

Each of these companies processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. See Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps that use its services, Google’s ad technology providers, and Apple’s Privacy Policy.

International data transfers

Google and Apple operate internationally, so information they process may be transferred to or accessed from countries outside your own or outside the European Economic Area. Where required, these transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google’s data-transfer frameworks and Apple’s Privacy Policy for details.

Data retention and deletion

We do not keep a central copy of your game data. Data on your device stays there until you clear the Game’s data or uninstall it, though on iOS a copy may remain in a device backup. Cloud saves stay in your Google Play Games or Game Center account until you delete them there.

Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash reports and their installation identifiers for 90 days, then begins removing them. Advertising data, consent records, and purchase records are kept by Google and Apple under their own retention practices. The User Messaging Platform stores your consent choices on your device; we do not keep a separate database of them.

We keep support emails only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your request, unless longer retention is needed to establish or defend legal claims or to comply with the law.

Security

The Game relies on your device’s protections for local storage and on the security measures of Google and Apple for their services. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so protect your device and your Google and Apple accounts.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to receive a portable copy of it, and to withdraw consent. Most data is held on your device or in your Google or Apple account, so you can usually exercise these rights there, or through the Game’s privacy options for advertising. For requests about information we control, contact us using the details below.

If you are a California resident or live in another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information is processed and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising. You can do this through the Game’s privacy options or your device’s advertising settings. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. In Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Children

Cubegram is meant for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where local law sets a higher age for consenting to data processing, users below that age should use the Game only with a parent’s or guardian’s involvement. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, contact us and we will help delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Game or applicable law changes. We will post the updated policy here and revise its effective date. If a change requires your consent, we will ask for it in the Game.
